The RUSD PTA

Parental involvement is key to our schools’ ongoing success.  Working together, the Foundation for Reed Schools and Parent Teacher Association (PTA) manage the two pillars of this involvement: Fundraising by Foundation; and Volunteer Engagement by PTA.  It is our hope that every parent in the community will become involved -- to the extent that they are able -- in both.

The RUSD PTA brings together parents, teachers and staff of the Reed Union School District to provide parent volunteerism and special programs that enrich the lives of our children and school community.

Over 150 parents serve as officers or committee chairs for the many PTA-organized events and activities throughout the year, including car line, field trips, parent education, book fairs, school plays, field days and Choice Lunch.  At Reed School alone, each classroom is supported by over 200 volunteer hours from parents a year.  This volunteer involvement frees up our teachers to focus on the superior education of our children and enhances the school experience for everyone.

Please join today!

Your family PTA membership and participation are important to our children.  Membership dues are only $30/family.  http://www.reedschools.org//site/Default.aspx?PageID=166

These dues support parent education programs, staff development and scholarship programs within our district.  As a PTA member, you also have access to the many parent resources offered by the National PTA organization, via www.pta.org.

Leadership

RUSD PTA is one organization serving all three campuses, led by the District PTA Executive Board and the PTA Site Committees at each of our three school sites.  Please contact your school PTA Site Chair for more information on how to become involved as a Parent Volunteer! http://www.reedschools.org//site/Default.aspx?PageID=168
