Public education is supposed to be free. Why should I donate to The Foundation?
Public education is free, but quality education is not. Reed Union School District does not receive enough public funding to maintain the high level of education our children deserve and parents desire. The need for The Foundation's financial support has never been greater. It is up to us, as a community, to bridge this financial gap.
How much should I donate to The Foundation?
Please donate an amount that is meaningful to you. It costs RUSD approximately $1,300 per child to provide this well-rounded education. Every donation makes a difference for our children.
Where does my money go?
The Foundation funds 20 specialists for valuable programs including art, music, PE, foreign language, library, technology instruction. The Foundation also provides funds for classroom aides, iPads and Apps; laptops, visiting artists, teacher innovation grants and teacher training.
